Privacy policy
This policy explains how the Auckland Tamil Association collects, uses and protects the personal information you give us through this website. We follow the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
What we collect
We only collect what you type into our forms. The contact form asks for your name, email, phone number, country and your message. The membership form asks for your name, email, mobile number and the membership type you choose. The renewal form asks for your registered email address. The Tamil School registration form asks for the parent or guardian's name, the student's name, your home address, email and phone number.
How we use it
We use your details to reply to your message, manage your membership or renewal, and enrol students in the Tamil School. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not pass it to marketers.
Where your details go
When you send a form, your details go to the WebTag dashboard, the system our website provider WebTag uses to manage our website enquiries. Only the people at the Auckland Tamil Association who handle your request, and WebTag staff supporting the system, can see them. We may also share information if New Zealand law requires it.
Spam protection
Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a real person is sending them. Turnstile looks at technical information about your browser and device to do this, under Cloudflare's own privacy policy. The IP address recorded with each form is kept for 90 days to detect spam and abuse, then deleted.
Payments
We do not collect card or bank details on this website. Payments, such as membership fees, are made by bank transfer.
Cookies and visit counts
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The spam check may store a small amount of information in your browser that it needs to work. We count visits to each page, and which website sent you, to see how the site is used. This does not use cookies or identify you.
How long we keep it
We keep your details only for as long as we need them for the reason you gave them, for example while you are a member or while your child is enrolled in the Tamil School.
Your rights and questions
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. For this, or any question about this policy, contact us using the details on our Contact page.
